We just installed the HP Alliance 1 OpenVMS PAK for I64 and noticed that CMS, MMS, DW-MOTIF and a bunch of other licenses were not included. Has anyone else seen this or knows why this is? NXTware Remote uses these three utilities at least.

You should have VAXSET which covers the CMS/MMS/etc. I don’t think you need a separate license for Motif, isn’t that included in the BOE? Brad McCusker Software Concepts International http://www.sciinc.com

The license for CMS and MMS should covered as part of the DECset license.

Dan – DECset isn’t what comes with the Alliance 1 licenses. It’s VAXSET. (at least that is what we got with ours)

You are correct. I was thinking of the more ”modern” collection. The Alliance 1 is as you state with the standard customer license being the DECset.

OK, we heard back from HPE – they checked and found that these licenses were in the Alpha and VAX license PAK, but they weren’t included in the Integrity license PAK for some reason. They asked us if we wanted it for Integrity too. Not sure why they were deleted for Integrity, but we asked for them and MACRO64, LSE and the other licenses that were omitted. We are waiting for the updated license PAK for Integrity. I’ll update you all with the latest version once I get it. Thanks for the responses and I hope this gets fixed for all of us still using the HP Integrity versions.

There are libraries contained in DW-Motif that NXTware uses for impersonation as I understand. That wasn’t included in this year’s license PAK. It was included last year when we updated the license PAKs. I inherited this from someone else, so I need to investigate how to get the DECset licenses I guess.
